I ordered from Grub Hub which was my first mistake, no contact less delivery notification, flies in the bag when I discovered my food twenty minutes later. But not the worst...the food was so bad, carnitas Michegoan was full of gristle, and what pork there was , was over cooked with no seasoning. Received the wrong salad. The only good part of my dinner were the chips and white sauce. No way this would have come out in the dining room and if it had it would have been sent back immediately. For many of us, post COVID, a delivery meal is a treat as we have issues with dining in and social,dist@ncing. Grub Hub credited my money immediately, and while appreciated, there is an element with this food that is so bad that is way way beyond the delivery method. Bad food is just that, bad food and I was so disappointed. Management obviously has no oversight in the kitchen. So poor! The new norm should not affect the food prep...I won’t do this again.

Good service always. 3rd time here. Chips are fresh and drinks are good. This time I got the vegan tacos. Really good.

Me and the wife and friends have been here several times. And today with the rain and major wind, covid, and now murder Hornets!!! As for these times we had your food delivered. And on a scale to 1-10. 100 as usual!! Delicious, and festive Hispanic cuisine!! We both tried something new and nothing short of excellent. Also with the delivered food you added chips and salsa just for that extra 👌. Over all excellent and over the top for your staff. Thank you!!

I ordered fajitas and my wife ordered shrimp tacos for a take out order. First off, they gave my wife mahi mahi tacos. Both orders were lacking any sort of flavor whatsoever. I’m not sure how this place has a 4.3 overall rating. I would highly recommend avoiding this place if you’re looking for a decent Mexican restaurant.

The restaurant has very subpar customer service. Upon arrival to the restaurant, my husband gave them his name and the telephone number that the order should have been placed under. Instead of actually looking, the employees just laughed at him and told him that they did not have his order. It took me to call and suggest cancelling the order for them to magically find it and say that it was already completed. Once my husband went back to the restaurant, the employees were laughing as if their mistake was amusing. Messing with peoples' time and money is definitely not a game.The food itself is not something worth going through all this trouble for. I should have just cancelled the order and gotten my money back. It just seemed like everything was extra wet, from the burritos to the rice. It probably would have been better if eaten immediately but as far as takeout, be prepared for your food to be soggy. Very disappointing as a first time customer.

First time to VA and we stop at Jose Tequilas for dinner. Gotta say our server was humorous and did a great job with my family. The food was great and the overall experience (even though my husband had the waiter add an extra shot of tequila in my Blue Agave Margarita) was amazing! Wish we had one closer to us Kentuckians!

Made the mistake of trying this lot for pickup. "already started the order" when there's over an hour wait outside? Started sending all calls to generic voicemail so no one can tell them to cancel? What kind of nonsense is this? Can't cancel the order without giving up the entire tab for something that will never be made for people that are waiting around an eternity. This is not acceptable.

Extensive menu, fast service, friendly staff, full bar, and after several visits I still have not found anything on the menu I don't like.

Food was great I am on vacation so my only complaint is when u take out. Please give plastic utensils

Food hasnt been that great past 3 times i ordered. I ordered Saturday over the phone at 12pm and picked up at 12:10pm. The food wasnt good. Each meal was tastless and soggy. The chips were burnt. Sorry but this is last time i order from here. $22 for 2 lunch entrees that could not even been ate means last time. online menu did not reflect what we received even after asking to verify. It may be a mexican restaurant but definitely not authentic mexican food. Shame we cant get this in VA! Yuck!

Are favorite place to stop for a late night dinner with the family. Food is always fresh and full of flavor. The menu is a little over whelming so it does take awhile to decide what you want to order. I got the Mexican city tacos last night. Hands down the best tasting tacos I have ever had. Our waitress was super nice and patient with us due to our kids being a little crazy.

Not bad but not that good either. The service was very good. The food was not hot just warm. The visual of the four dinners just didn't give me the eye appeal that I wanted. I would have liked a better presentation.

I’ve been to this place ( in Norfolk on E little creek rd)on numerous occasions and I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve always experienced very friendly, enthusiastic service, food always comes out very quickly and their portions are very generous. Prices I think are very fair for the quality and amount of food they deliver, coupled with the great service. Also, their margaritas are to die for! Truly the best margaritas I’ve ever had! I love this place

Food is really good, staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Their enchiladas with guacamole salad are my fave!

It took over 20 mins for the server to come back and take our order. The Mexican corn looked and tasted like frozen corn from grocery store but was $16 for two orders Salsa was watery and salad barely had any lettuce other than the one they use for tacos. The Virginia Beach location is 100 times better than this.

This place is amazing service is fast and the food is great. Drinks are nice and strong you get great quality for what you pay for. The mushroom appetizer was so delicious my favorite appetizer thus far.

Went there this evening for Mother’s Day. We typically get Jesses, but they closed at 8 so we ordered for the first time from Jose Tequilas. It was bland. The street tacos fell apart because they put only one thin corn tortilla to hold the meat. Most street tacos comes with two because corn tortillas can fall apart. They turned into a ripped up mess. So ultimately I had to use flour tortillas I had in the house. My husband had the burrito bowel and the chicken was bland. Also salsa was super limey. The guacamole diablo came with a greasy pile of ground meat on top that was gross... I scrapped it out in the trash and just ate the avocado portion. The only thing that was decent was the cheese dip. First time and last time. $50 wasted.

Horrible absolutely horrible...ordered from Doordarshan and they kept our dasher waiting for 2 and a half hours than when I tried to call they had their phones off the hook and when I finally got my food it was poorly made. Taco bell tasted better. This place is a complete waste of a restaurant bad food horrible service and disgraceful management.

While their entrees can be amazing, have had a few instances where the rice could've used an extra minute.Other than that, still good food.

Ordered dinner from here for the first time. Hands down the worst meal we've ever had. The food was bland and pretty much tasteless. Sadly $40 in the trash. Never again!! Taco Bell would have been better.

Decent Mexican food, nothing spectacular. Twice they have shorted our order by a whole entree which I then had to return and get.

Food was delicious and plenty, Service was also good. We are normally Azteca goers,but the chips and white sauce was definitely better at Azteca. Other than that, we would definitely go back to Jose Tequilas .Fajita for two looked AWESOME. Will try that next at Jose T.

I love Mexican food. Everywhere I travel or visit I try to indulged in some good eating. I don't think their steak is real meat. It taste rubbery like the kind you buy in the pack at your local grocery store.

El Toro Grande Burrito- 2 feet of steak, chicken, cheese,vegetables and tortilla. Can it be eaten in 30 minutes or less?.... Not by me, but it's worth trying.

Love the cucumber margaritas. The food always comes out very fast. Servers are always very nice and quick to refill drinks and check back on you. Our favorite place to go to sit outside on a nice day

Great place for lunch or dinner. They have, in my opinion, the best chips and salsa. Additionally, the make a great margarita and other drinks as well. I highly recommend the chicken burrito bowl. You can't beat the price for this delicious bowl of goodness, only $8.99. Try it out if you are near by, you'll thank me.
